On March 4, 2015, several hundreds of correspondents and reporters attended the meeting hosted by Nanfang Daily. 10 "Top Ten Correspondents", 120 "Excellent Correspondents" and 314 "Active Correspondents" were commended at the meeting. Prof. Wu Chongqing from the Department of Philosophy at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), and Dr. Wang Lixia, Deputy Director of Publicity Department of SYSU and Director of SYSU News Center, won the title of "Top Ten Correspondents".

Mr. Zhang Dongming, Editor in Chief of Nanfang Media Group and Director of Nanfang Daily, said in his address that Prof. Wu Chongqing had written theoretical articles with unique perspectives and novel ideas for Nanfang Daily; Dr. Wang Lixia was an important promoter of the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Nanfang Media Group and Sun Yat-sen University last year. “SYSU Nine Chapters”, the feature reports by Dr. Wang and Nanfang Daily reporters, had extensive social influence.

In addition, Li Shaobin from The First Affiliated Hospital and Wang Haifang from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital were awarded “Excellent Correspondents”; Jiang Lan from The Third Affiliated Hospital, Huang Jinjuan from Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, Wei Chunfu from Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, and Jian Wenyang from The Sixth Affiliated Hospital were awarded “Active Correspondents”.
