On April 29, 2015, Mr. Bertrand Furno, Consul General of France in Guangzhou, visited the Sino-French Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology (IFCEN) at Sun Yat-sen University. Prof. WANG Biao, Chinese Dean of IFCEN, Mr. Jean-Marie Bourgeois-Demersay, French Dean of IFCEN, and Ms. YU Zhantao, Deputy Dean of IFCEN, warmly welcomed Mr. Furno and his colleague, showed them around Zhuhai Campus, as well as the teaching facilities and research laboratories of IFCEN. During the visit, Prof. WANG and Mr. Bourgeois-Demersay introduced the training mode and laboratory platforms of the institution which, according to Mr. Furno, had impressed him very much. 

In the evening, Mr. Furno delivered a lecture on “South China: the power to reform and the carrier to Sino-French cooperation” to the students of IFCEN.
