Francois Rivest, Canadian Consul General in Guangzhou, visited SYSU on the morning of November 10. SYSU Vice President Xu Ningsheng greeted the guest and briefed him on cooperation on teaching and research between the university and Canadian higher education institutions, and expressed the hope for further collaboration between the university and the Canadian Consulate-General to beef up the cooperation on teaching and research between the university and Canadian higher education institutions. Francois Rivest gave a brief account of the basic information of education in Canada and the Conculate-General’s role and function in promoting the academic exchange between Canada and China. He also expressed the Consulate-General will continue to serve as a bridge in advancing cooperation and exchange among universities in two countries.
