The selection of the 2009 Top Ten News of SYSU, organized by the Publicity Department of the SYSU Committee of the CPC, was launched officially on December 25^th and will end on January 1^st, 2010. From now on, all the teachers and students can click on the following net address: http://home.sysu.edu.cn/news/index.asp, to participate in the selection.

The contest will nominate primarily 29 pieces of news. Additionally, the teachers and students may recommend an extra piece of news. The event will bring out the 2009 Top Ten News of SYSU according to the voting result. 10 participants whose votes are most close to the final result will be commended.


This activity aims to closely connect the news publicity work with the development of SYSU and to enhance staff and students ' awareness and participations for the university’s development. Moreover, this activity, which displays the most influential events of SYSU in 2009, is expected to give us a retrospect of the annual development and the unforgettable moments.
