Since 2008, Department of Geography of University of Basel has been carrying out broad collaboration in teachers’ communication as well as students exchange with the School of Geography and Planning of SYSU. In January 2010, the two sides started a joint research project, i.e. “Urban Development and Planning of Chu Chiang Delta”. At present, the two sides have planned to carry out further collaboration in collaborative research, staff communication, students exchange as well as joint fieldwork, etc.
