On the morning of March 3, the 8
th International Leisure & Recreation Industry Exposition Opening Ceremony was held. During the opening ceremony, the School of Communication and Design of SYSU signed an Industry-University-Research comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Xing Li Cartoon & Game Industrial Park Co. Ltd. Li Qingshuang, deputy secretary of the school, and Zheng Xiaohua, a board representative of Xing Li Industrial Park Co. Ltd, signed the strategic cooperative framework agreement.
The two sides will have technical research, originality refinement and industrial integration on various things, including game interaction technology research and development of high-end, game engine development, construction of Industrial production information platform, construction of game industry public service platform, innovation of game themes, design of Chinese cartoon, creative culture intellectual property transaction. The cooperation of two sides has covered four important links of game industry, which are “Source of originality” “Content development” “Manufacturing” and “Product Promotion”. To promote independent innovation of national game industry, facilitate game industry transformation and update, build a modern industry system, and improve the whole industry’s Core Competence of sustainable development, it is significant to take full advantage of technique, talents and advanced and mature achievement of universities as well as rely on cluster enterprises in Xing Li Cartoon & Game Industrial Park.
At present, Xing Li Cartoon & Game Industrial Park is the only Cartoon & Game Industrial Park in China. It is an industrial park with more than 200 game manufacturers. It was a key construction project of Guangzhou in 2008, a key construction project of Guangdong Province in 2009 and 2010. The industrial park was honored with the names “National Online Game & Cartoon Industry Base, District of Guangzhou Panyu” “Guangdong Cartoon & Game Recreation Industrial Cluster Panyu Base” “Excellent Recreational Machines Comprehensive Service Platform” The annual gross of the enterprises in the industrial park, including the gross of some national leading backbone enterprises, has covered more than 60% of annual gross in the game industry.
