On July 14, Professor Xu Guanlin, honorary president of Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and Vice-president Xu Minghua, altogether seven people visited Sun Yat-sen University. Zheng Detao, the secretary of the party committee received the guests in the VIP room of Zhongshan Building.



In the meeting, the two sides gave an introduction of each school’s history, school philosophy and international cooperation. President Xu Guanlin appreciated the warm reception of Sun Yat-sen University and spoke highly of SYSU’s professional advantages in talents cultivation, entrepreneurial creativity and innovation. He expressed his willingness to deepen understanding of our school, draw on each other’s comparative advantages, so as to cooperate in a higher level. The guests also introduced Nanyang Technology and Venture Center and Singapore (guangzhou) knowledge city innovation base. They looked forward to cooperating with SYSU in Singapore (guangzhou) knowledge city.

The secretary Zheng Detao pointed out that Singapore (guangzhou) knowledge city was an important platform for both sides’ cooperation. Sun Yat-sen University and Nanyang Technological University of Singapore could make full use of effective resources and cooperated in talents cultivation and commercialization of research findings.
