On August 24, the supervision and evaluation team of major biological and medical projects sectors under the National Center for Science & Technology Evaluation carried out supervision and evaluation for two major infectious disease projects of our university, namely “Study on the Epidemic Law of Pathogen Spectrum of Guangdong Infectious Disease” organized by Professor Li Mengfeng, and “Productization of Infectious Disease Diagnostic Reagent” organized by Professor He Yunshao. The evaluation conference took place in the North Campus. This supervision and evaluation team was led by Liu Yulan, Deputy Director of the Planning Department of Ministry of Science and Technology, and Section Chief Zhao Qinghua and was consisted of 18 experts altogether, such as academician Ba Denian and Yao Xinsheng.

At the conference, Vice President Li Mengfeng introduced the overall organization and management of the infectious disease major projects of our university, and delivered a detailed report on the work of “Study on the Epidemic Law of Pathogen Spectrum of Guangdong Infectious Disease”. Professor He Yunshao, Chairman of SYSU DA AN Gene Co. Ltd, reported on the work of "Productization of Infectious Disease Diagnostic Reagent” project. The management and development of infectious disease major projects, SYSU, successfully went through the supervision and evaluation process of Ministry of Science and Technology, and received unanimous high praise from the experts.
 
Director Xu Qingfeng of Department of Health of Guangdong Province, Deputy Director Zhang Shunhua, Director Liang Dan of Office of Medical Science, SYSU, Deupty Director Fan Ruiquan, Deputy Director Lao Chuhua of Office of Finance, attended the conference.
