On November 12, organized by Guangdong Provincial People's Government Information Office, Foreign Affairs Office and Provincial Development and Reform Commission, a group of reporters participated in the “Mainstream Media See Guangdong” activity and visited SYSU China-France Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology.

More than forty domestic and foreign mainstream media from China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Vietnam and the United States listened to the institute introductione made by Wang Biao, the Chinese Dean of SYSU China-France Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology. Then they interviewed the Dean Wang Biao and some sophomores about college enrollment patterns, difficulties encountered during the operation, contribution to the energy development of Guangdong Province and impact of Japan Fukushima Event to the curriculum design. What has been spoken highly of was that the sophomores could be interviewed by French reporters from China Today in fluent French.

The China-France Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology is the first nuclear energy professional college jointly held by China and French, and it is also the first nuclear engineer cultivation mechanism cooperated between two universities and supported by the Chinese and French governments. In the China-France Education Cooperation Cultivation Mechanism, it is the only one that introduced French engineer training system that lasts for six years . The institute was officially inaugurated in September this year. The French Minister of State for Foreign and European Affairs Alain Juppé was present at the ceremony. At present, there are 36 faculties and staff and more than 200 students in the China-France Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology.
