On the morning of May 18, the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between School of Engineering, SYSU and College of Engineering, Swansea University, was held in East Campus. The Dean of School of Engineering, Professor Jiang Qing and the authorized representative of College of Engineering, Professor Sondipon Adhikari signed the MoU on behalf of two schools, identifying the cooperation principles and fields. Professor Jiang Qing met with Professor Sondipon Adhikari, Dr. Antonio J. Gil, Dr. Chengyuan Wang, and Dr. Kar Seng (Vincent) Teng, and discussed with them the cooperation fields and approaches, reaching a consensus on various ways of substantive cooperation, including student cultivation, scientific collaborative projects, scholar communication, and student exchange programs. Professor Liang Dong, Party Secretary and Executive Vice-Dean of School of Engineering, Vice Dean Professor Zhou Cuiying, Professor Zhan Jiemin, Director of Department of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, Associate Professor Cai Ming, Assistant to the Dean, and Associate Professor Zhang Chao also attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.
