On October 20, the delegation of SYSU Entrepreneurs Alumni Association headed by Li Ping, Deputy Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, Executive President of SYSU Alumni Association and President of SYSU Entrepreneurs Alumni Association, visited Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The delegation paid a visit to Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and SYSU alumnus. Members of the delegation included Chen Shaobin, Assistant President of SYSU and Member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee; Li Hanrong, Director of Education Development & Alumni Affairs Office of SYSU; and 10 executive presidents and vice presidents of SYSU Entrepreneurs Alumni Association. The event was aimed to advance cooperation between Sun Yat-sen University and local industries, promote economic, trade, cultural and health cooperation between Guangdong and Guangxi, and support SYSU alumni entrepreneurs in seeking development opportunities.

The delegation visiting projects of Nanning National Economic & Technological Development Zone
On the afternoon of October 20, Peng Qinghua, Secretary of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Yu Yuanhui, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and Secretary of the CPC Nanning Municipal Committee; Fan Xiaoli, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and Secretary General of the CPC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee; Qin Bin, Director General of Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; and SYSU delegates attended a seminar, discussing current development and investment environment in Guangxi.
On October 21, led by Shi Wenhuai, Deputy Mayor of Nanning, the delegation visited Guangxi-ASEAN Economic and Technological Development Zone, Nanning National Economic & Technological Development Zone, and Nanning Hi-Tech Industry Development Zone. The administrative committees of these zones introduced their development plans and incentives, and recommended key investment programs.
This event was organised by SYSU Alumni Association for the purpose of building a platform for alumni. The alumni entrepreneurs expressed their keen interest in investing in Guangxi and reached cooperation intentions.
