On March 25, 2015, Mr. Dominique Ochem, the nuclear counselor from French Embassy in China, visited the Sino-French Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology (IFCEN) at Sun Yat-sen University. French Dean of IFCEN Mr. Jean-Marie Bourgeois-Demersay and Deputy Dean of IFCEN Ms. Yu Zhantao warmly welcomed Mr. Ochem as well as his colleagues, and showed them around Zhuhai Campus, including the teaching facilities and research laboratories of IFCEN.

During the visit, Mr. Bourgeois-Demersay introduced to Mr. Ochem the history and the training mode of IFCEN. Mr. Ochem spoke highly of IFCEN’s environment and facilities for scientific research and teaching.

In the evening, Mr. Ochem delivered a speech on “The key points of French nuclear strategy” to IFCEN students, which enabled the students to better understand the current situation of nuclear energy and the nuclear cooperation between China and France.
