Representatives from National Health Commission Visited the Hospital

On March 11, 2019, representatives in charge of the reform of the public hospitals from Department of Healthcare Reform, National Health Commission and relevant leaders of the provincial and municipal health care committees visited The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, emphasizing that the Hospital should continue to play a leading role in the reform of public hospitals and establishment of a sound modern hospital management system.



Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor of University of Birmingham Visited Nansha District

On March 11, 2019, Jon Frampton, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor (China) of University of Birmingham, accompanied by leadership of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and Government of Nansha District, visited the construction site of Nansha International Hospital.

All parties reached a consensus on collaboration in the fields of bio-medicine, medical diagnosis and treatment, faculty training, laboratory animal center operation and translational medicine.


The Hospital Held an Evening Party for International Women’s Day
On the evening of March 7, 2019, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University held a party celebrating International Women’s Day. More than 300 employees attended.


British Council Delegation Visited the Hospital

On March 5, 2019, a delegation led by Rachel Lomax, Deputy Chair of British Council visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University to discuss the feasibility of Sino-British cooperation to promote the development of higher education in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.



Delegation from Milan National Cancer Institute and Niguarda Hospital Visited the Hospital

On March 11, 2019, Prof. Stefano Manfredi, President of Milan National Cancer Institute & National Cancer Specialist Hospital; Prof. Massimiliano Gennaro, Director of Breast Department, Milan National Cancer Center & National Cancer Specialist Hospital; Prof. Maurizio Lunati, Director of the Cardiology Department of Niguarda Hospital visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.


Prof. Stefano Manfredi and Prof. Manurizio Lunati presented an overview of medical system and management model in Milan. The two sides discussed the differences of the medical system and the faculty training system between China and Italy. In addition, the experts had MDT discussion and case study with Departments of Cardiovascular Medicine, Thyroid & Breast Surgery.
